Scrappage schemes 2018: everything you need to know
A number of motor manufacturers are now offering scappage schemes including Mitsubishi, Nissan, Seat, Dacia, Hyundai, Toyota, Audi, Volkswagen, Ford, Lexus, Peugeot, Citreon, Suzuki, Mazda, MG, Fiat, Kia, Renault, Skoda, Mercedes Benz, BMW, Mini and Vauxhall.
This scrappage scheme introduced earlier this year has taken in over 14,000 cars off the roads, according to 12 of the 26 manufacturers with schemes. This data was collected by the Press Association from 12 brands who disclosed numbers. The remaining 14 manufacturers would not disclose how many cars have been scrapped under their schemes.
